FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
Your flight between Milford Sound and Queenstown is approximately 40 minutes.
Due to the weather-dependent nature of flying in the Southern Alps to Milford Sound, it is unfortunate that there are occasions where the forecast is not suitable for flying and we will be unable to offer you your return scenic flight to Queenstown. The safety of our passengers is always our highest priority and in the event of adverse weather, you will need to have booked a backup return transport option to Queenstown.
We offer a complimentary return shuttle into Central Queenstown after your flight with us. Let us know where you are staying and we can confirm your drop off point.
When flying with Glenorchy Air, there are restrictions in place when it comes to carrying certain items considered dangerous goods. We need to ensure we keep everyone safe and certain dangerous goods can react badly to the conditions they are exposed to during a flight. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the dangerous goods list found under T&C’s at the bottom of our website. There will also be a copy attached to your booking confirmation. You must not carry any of the restricted items in your baggage. As you would be flying with us one way out of Milford Sound, any dangerous items taken off you before you board will, unfortunately, be left behind. If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call on 03 442 2207.
