Please call us on 0800 676 264 1 hour before your scheduled flight time on the day of your flight for your Weather Check.
If you are self driving to us at Queenstown Airport, your check in time is 30 minutes prior to departure.
Your roundtrip flight will be approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes.
We suggest you bring the following with you to make it a great day out:
- Any essential medication
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Camera – make sure it’s fully charged
- Warm clothing layers – including a decent jacket
- Bottle of water
- Lunch and snacks
- Skis/Snowboard (these can be rented when booking online)
- Ski/Snowboard boots (these can be rented when booking online)
- Ski Poles (optional)
- Helmet
- Goggles
- Gloves
You should bring your own backcountry skis and skiing gear. We have a pod on our aircraft that we can load your gear into to fly up to Mt. Cook.
No, but you can pre-purchase a picnic lunch from us when booking online. You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch with you as well. It is a big day, so we recommend taking a lot of easy-to-eat on-the-go snacks.
Ski the Tasman is described as an ‘introduction into backcountry’. The runs are comparable to blue runs. Your guide will tailor the trip based on the ability of your group.
The terrain is available to both skiers and snowboarders and the guides will tailor your runs based on this.
The terrain on the Tasman Glacier is moderate (Blue runs) and the pace is relaxed.
The minimum age for children on this trip is 10 years old.
Yes! Please contact us to upgrade your trip to two helicopter runs or to discuss the option of adding on more runs. The standard trip includes 2 runs in a ski plane.
