Why Kevin? Why a Kea?
Great question – and one with a story behind it. At Glenorchy Air, the kea has always been close to our hearts. This clever, cheeky alpine parrot is not only part of our logo and branding, it’s a symbol of the adventurous and curious spirit we aim to bring to every flight. The name Kevin was inspired by our owner’s daughter, who has a beloved stuffed kea named Kevin, whom he purchased for her when on a flight up to Mt. Cook. When it came time to name our new virtual assistant, we couldn’t think of a better fit. Kevin the Kea is knowledgeable, helpful, and just the right amount of playful – just like the real thing (minus the mischievous gear-stealing, of course!).
